Descendants Sandy has been kind enough to send photos from an issue of the British The Sunday Times Magazine about the bicentennial of the French Revolution, which features photos of living relatives of Revolutionary figures, including Saint-Just! Rumored and Fictional Relatives Camille Desmoulins: Some accounts consider Camille to be a cousin of Saint-Just. I'm not sure through which side of the family Camille is said to be related.Son Saint-Just: French historian Madeleine Charmelot claims that Saint-Just had a son with his childhood friend Thérèse Thorin, née Gelle. I have not seen any other information suggesting this is true, however. Marguerite Saint-Just Blakeney: In The Scarlet Pimpernel novels, Saint-Just is the cousin and ex-lover of the heroine. Bernard Châtelet: In the Berusaiyu no Bara (Rose of Versailles) manga, Saint-Just is the cousin of this fictional character, who was modeled on Camille Desmoulins. |
